Ben Bradford mountaineering uses a small number of local instructors to run courses in Devon and Cornwall. They are chosen not just for their technical and local knowledge but just as importantly for their client care and enthusiasmfor the outdoor activities that they work with.

Ben Bradford Ben Holds the SPA award Summer Mountain leader and is an aspirant MIA. Ben Bradford started climbing in 1998 although he had been walking and scrambling in the UK long before then. Ben started a series of climbing trips during his A-levels which are still going today. Combining exciting travel with a purpose, trips and expeditions have included New Zealand , European Alps, Nepal , Caribbean and North America. Devon is always a draw though, with it's mild climate and fantastic rock climbing to rival any destination. Over the past few years Ben has worked as a mountain leader on international expeditions for UK company's as well as organizingand running his own commercial expeditions. Past trips include Tanzania, Nepal, Tibet, Tien Shan and Argentina. |

Tony Finnis Tony holds the SPA Award and Summer Mountain Leader. Tony has an interesting background with a stint as an Army instructor, salesman for a multi-national and more recently as a businessman where he is based in East Devon. Tony combines outdoor instruction with his own business taking on outdoor work which he enjoys meaning he is always happy to escape the office and put on a harness again! Ben and Tony instruct on an adventurous training week every spring in Wales or the Lake district and team up for Dartmoor beginner courses when numbers dictate. Tony often runs beginner courses during the summer season, especially when Ben is on Expedition. |

Mike Bradford Mike holds the SPA award, Winter Mountain Leader, European Mountain Leader and is an aspirant MIA. Mike's background is in teaching physical and outdoor education where he spent many years taking students and adults climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, winter walking in Devon, Cornwall and all over the UK. Since 2003 he has taken large groups of adults and students to the European alps on a tour of mount blanc and in 2009 realized a long ambition by traveling to Nepal to climb the 6195m Island Peak. Mike has climbed extensively in the south-west and his local knowledge combined with an enthusiasm for teaching makes for a great day out. |

Gavin Kelly Gavin holds the SPA award Summer Mountain leader and is an aspirant MIA. Gavin is based in Devon and freelances for centers all over the county as well as traveling in the UK to run activities in Scotland and Wales. He has a diverse range of work from school groups, stag party's adult courses, youth social services and Corporate team training days. He is a keen Rock Climber who climbs to a high standard on both tricky sea cliffs and remote mountain crags in the UK although he's most at home on Dartmoor with the Dewerstone near plymouth probably the favorite. Gavin most commonly works on Beginner and Rock Improver courses, on Dartmoor and Lands end in Cornwall. |
