Charity Abseil and Climb day on Dartmoor Rock Climbing Homepage

Information

Climb a 110ft Rock climb and abseil a 150ft Viaduct.

A charity fund-raising day offers inspiring venues and challenging activites with a strong emphasis on support and safety.

The day is split into two halves with the morning taken up first by training and preperation followed by a challenging rock climb at the Dewerstone, one of Devon's premier climbing venues. This rock climb is long but acheviable and scales one of Devon's most impressive peices of rock.

After a well deserved break for lunch we head to nearby Bickliegh viaduct, an old railway bridge now used as a popular cycle way. We abseil the 140ft between the arches giving a spectacular free hanging abseil.

The abseil is physically quite easy but a good mental challenge for anyone. We reccomend Justgiving.com for those people who wish to raise money online.

The cost includes all safety equipment for the day and includes a photo record for each person who abseils and climbs. The day is run by two experianced climbing instructors who will look after you for the day.
