This course is designed for the climber who as taken part in a beginner course or an indoor climber who wants to gain some knowledge for climbing outside.

The course includes some of the following:
Climbing Knots, Top-Rope Anchors and Multiple Anchors.
Top-Rope setup and Bottom -Rope setup.
Climbing equipment choice and care.
Belay devices and technique.
Environmental considerations and care.

This may seem like a short list but there is a lot of knowledge to be learnt for each subject. The course is run on a practical basis and always allows a climb to be tried after each successful setup.

This is the best climbing experience, heading up on the "sharp" end of the rope and placing equipment to protect yourself against a fall along the way.
This is a potentially hazardous form of climbing when starting out but with possibly the highest reward for your efforts.
