Via Ferrata – Chamonix

Climb the excellent and dramatic Via Ferrata Evettes in Chamonix with one of our IFMGA mountain guides.

A challenging but achievable adventure, the Via Ferrata Evettes in Chamonix is a great climb with one of the best backdrops in the world.

Steep walls and wire bridges all with Mont Blanc as a backdrop. This is a great introduction to Via Ferrata’s. Never too hard, but certainly challenging. The round trip typically takes around 3 to 4 hours including the approach walk and descent.

Prior experience required:

No prior experience of Via Ferratas are required. You will need to be happy on some exposed terrain with a drop beneath you! The approach track is around 30 mins across a rough track, the return around 20 minutes.

The Evettes Via Ferrata is suitable for children, over 1.40m tall and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Equipment:

We recommend a small rucksack with water and a snack or two, plus a rain jacket. Thin gloves is a good idea too. The safety equipment is provided and is included in our price.

We can run private trips on your preferred dates, please contact us. We also occasionally team people up on group trips.

Price includes:

Guiding fees and guides expenses. Safety equipment is also included (normally 12€ per set), a harness, helmet and Via Ferrata lanyards for each climber.

Price excludes:

You will need to purchase your lift tickets (a return to Flegere, the mid station). Each participant should also have valid search and rescue insurance.
